Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer

Location: Gudu District, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time About the Company Prestige Homes & Properties Ltd. is seeking a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Civil/Structural Engineer to join its team and support construction activities across its project sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising construction works, ensuring structural integrity, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with approved designs, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor civil engineering and structural construction activities across project sites. Interpret and implement structural drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications. Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, building codes, engineering standards, and quality requirements. Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure timely project delivery. Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, and other project stakeholders. Review construction materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with required specifications. Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction, escalating major concerns where necessary. Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and other relevant technical documentation. Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites. Assist in material estimation, quantity calculations, and construction planning. Ensure proper use of construction resources and adherence to approved project budgets and timelines.

A Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. or B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution. 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, structural engineering, building construction, or site supervision. Practical experience in supervising building construction and interpreting engineering drawings. Good knowledge of construction methods, structural principles, building materials, and quality control procedures. Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, and familiarity with structural analysis tools will be an advantage. Strong communication, organisational, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Ability to work independently, coordinate with site teams, and meet project deadlines. Professional registration with COREN or eligibility for registration will be an added advantage. Additional Advantage: Candidates who reside within Gudu District or its surrounding areas in Abuja will have an added advantage, particularly due to the need for effective site coordination and accessibility.
