Job Title: Curiculum Development Specialist
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional travel required) Reporting To: Head of Planning, Research, and Development Department (PRD) Grade Band: Grade 5
We are seeking a seeking an experienced, high-performing, detail-oriented, driven and skilled, Curriculum Development Specialist to design, update, and structurally standardize technical and management training materials based on market research that meets international standards, accreditation requirements, and the specific competency needs of clients.
Instructional Design: Apply a systematic instructional design process (e.g., ADDIE) to develop new courses and revise existing ones for instructor-led, virtual, or blended delivery. Materials Development: Create and curate all instructional assets, including learner workbooks, instructor guide, presentation slides, practical lab exercises, job aids, and case studies Learning Needs Analysis (LNA): Design and execute LNAs in collaboration with the Business Development Team to identify client skill gaps and translate them into learning outcomes. Assessment Design: Develop robust assessment tools (formative and summative) that accurately measure the achievement of earning objectives. Accreditation Alignment: Ensure that all curricula are designed to meet criteria set by regulatory and accreditation bodies. Program Evaluation: Analyze post-training evaluations, assessment data, and client feedback to identify areas of curriculum improvement. Technology Integration: Incorporate relevant educational technologies and e-learning tools to enhance the learning experience.

Education: Minimum of B.Sc.2nd class Upper degree/HND (Upper Credit) in Engineering, Education, Instructional Design, or a related technical subject. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Instructional Design, Curriculum Development), or a specialized technical field is a distinct advantage Experience: 4-5 years of experience in designing technical training modules, industrial safety curricula, or vocational frameworks. Proven experience applying instructional design models and technologies in a corporate or institutional setting. Industrial Safety curricula preferred. What We Look For: Proven knowledge of ADDIES, SAM instructional models Adult learning theory and competency-based frameworks Accreditation standards and compliance mapping E-learning authority tools/LMS (Moodle, articulate, etc.) Creative, detailed oriented curriculum innovator. Salary Range N3,240,000 – N3,570,000 / Annual.
