Job Title: Internal Audit and Control Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Responsibilities

Conduct periodic audits across all departments. Review operational and financial transactions. Test compliance with policies, SOPs and approval limits. Review customer onboarding and KYC controls. Audit loan approval, booking and disbursement processes. Review investment transactions and liquidations. Test bank and GL reconciliations. Review system access and segregation of duties. Conduct surprise checks where appropriate. Identify control weaknesses and process gaps. Document audit findings and recommendations. Track management's implementation of audit recommendations. Conduct follow-up audits. Investigate suspected control breaches or irregularities as authorized. Review procurement and expenditure controls. Assess adequacy of documentation and record retention. Prepare periodic internal audit reports. Escalate significant control weaknesses to Management. Recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 4-6 years experience.
