Nigerian Electricity Supply Corporation (Nigeria) Limited [NESCO (Nigeria) Limited] is incorporated under the Companies act of the Laws of Nigeria. Its core business is to generate, distribute, supply and retail electric power in Plateau State and adjacent States. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Responsibilities

The Lead, Operations and Maintenance shall therefore be responsible, but not limited, the following: Manage the technical network operations/ distribution function, providing leadership, encouraging teamwork, and facilitating the process to achieve high performance standards in the cost-effective distribution of power Formulate strategies for Operations & Maintenance to ensure that objectives of reliability and continuity of electricity distribution supply are met Develop maintenance programs, in respect of NESCO’s power distribution network Formulate the development of policies, procedures and standards to direct and control the technical field operations effectively Develop a program of work for the department to ensure that deliverables are achieved within established timescales Ensure all activities are undertaken in strict compliance with approved technical system operation procedures in order to protect NESCO’s personnel, assets and corporate reputation Obtain information on regional and international trends and developments in the power distribution sector in order to identify those that can be recommended for effective adaptation and deployment in NESCO Accountable for project works, testing and commissioning projects in relation to the distribution activities of NESCO Oversee compliance with all Quality Management System /Occupational Health & Safety-related activities in the department as documented in the departmental operations manual, risk assessment register, and other relevant documents Prepare periodic reports for the attention of the Head, Distribution Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Head, Distribution Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge B.Eng. / HND in an Engineering field + COREN-accredited PGD + Masters in the same field Relevant professional certifications are required, e.g., COREN, etc Minimum of 4-6 relevant years of experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role Attributes and Competencies: Knowledge of Electricity Regulations and Policies Operations & Maintenance Management Substation Planning, Maintenance Operation Implementation
