Federal University Dutse received its charter from the Federal Government of Nigeria on February 9, 2011 and was established to advance teaching, research, and service with relevance to Jigawa State, Nigeria, and the wider world. Located in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, the university draws strength from its setting while building academic relationships across Nigeria and internationally. Job Title: Librarian

Location: Dutse, Jigawa Description The University Librarian will oversee the university library system and coordinate library services across campuses, faculties, departments and research units.

Requirements

A First Degree and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science. Registration with the relevant professional library association or body. A rank of Reader or Deputy University Librarian and above, with at least 15 years of continuous public service experience, including 10 years in a university library. NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of research contributions and publications in reputable journals. Experience in library automation, ICT proficiency, good communication skills and high integrity. Must not be older than 65 years by 12th April 2027.
