Job Summary

The Logistics / Warehouse Manager will oversee the receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of company products and materials, ensuring accurate stock records, efficient deliveries, and smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of products and materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure regular stock counts. Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages, damaged goods, and discrepancies. Coordinate deliveries, transportation, loading, and distribution to customers and sales outlets. Ensure orders are accurately picked, packaged, and dispatched on schedule. Supervise warehouse personnel, drivers, and loading staff where applicable. Maintain proper warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and safety standards. Track delivery expenses and identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs. Prepare daily or weekly reports on inventory, dispatches, deliveries, and operational issues. Ensure proper documentation for stock movement, delivery notes, invoices, and goods received. Prevent stock losses, unauthorised releases, and avoidable product damage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Inventory accuracy and frequency of stock discrepancies. Timely and accurate order fulfilment. On-time delivery rate. Reduction in stock losses and damaged goods. Control of transportation and warehouse operating costs. Timely submission of inventory and logistics reports.

Requirements

HND or B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or logistics operations. Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems. Good record-keeping and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate staff, deliveries, and multiple operational tasks effectively.
