Job Title: Senior Commercial Broiler Farm Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Department: Farm Operations

Reports To: Farm Manager / Farm Head

Employment Type: Full-Time Level: Officer II / Officer I, depending on experience

Job Description

The Commercial Broiler Farm Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring and supervision of commercial broiler production activities to ensure optimal flock health, growth, feed efficiency, mortality control, biosecurity and achievement of production targets. The role requires close monitoring of birds from placement through harvest, accurate record keeping, effective supervision of Farm Attendants and prompt escalation of deviations from approved production standards.

Qualifications

B.Sc. / HND / ND in Animal Science, Animal Production, Agriculture, Agricultural Technology or a related discipline. Relevant poultry production certification/training will be an advantage. Practical knowledge of commercial broiler production is required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in commercial broiler production for Officer II. Experience in a large-scale commercial poultry operation will be an advantage. Candidates with stronger experience may be considered for Officer I/Senior Farm Officer positions.
